During Oasis’ opening Australian tour stop at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Friday night (October 31), two lit flares were thrown into the crowded general admission floor section during the band’s final song, “Champagne Supernova,” prompting safety concerns among attendees. Despite thorough security checks, it remains unclear how the flares entered the venue or if anyone was injured. Frontman Liam Gallagher publicly condemned the flare-thrower with a profanity-laced post on social media, writing: “To the massive C*NT who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne you are 1 seriously fu**ed up individual and you will get yours trust me.” Liam was also visibly upset on stage during the performance, repeatedly wagging his finger at the crowd, though the band continued the performance without interruption. This concert marked the start of Oasis’ highly anticipated Live ’25 reunion tour in Australia, which features a three-night stand at Marvel Stadium before heading to Sydney’s Accor Stadium for two nights.
