Sam Fender and Olivia Dean have made UK chart history with Rein Me In, setting a new record for the most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Official UK Singles Chart. Billboard highlighted the milestone as the collaboration reached 19 non-consecutive weeks in the top position.
The achievement moves Rein Me In past the previous benchmark of 18 weeks at No. 1, a record that had stood since 1953. The song’s chart run has also drawn attention because of how long it took to reach the summit after first entering the rankings in June 2025.
Rather than debuting at No. 1, Rein Me In climbed gradually over several months before reaching the top in February 2026. Its extended run has since added several chart milestones to its record.
For both Fender and Dean, the song has become one of the biggest chart successes of their careers. Its sustained performance also marks one of the most notable UK singles chart runs in recent years.
