Michael Shannon and Jason Narducy are embarking on a 22-date U.S. tour in early 2026 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of R.E.M.’s iconic album, Lifes Rich Pageant. The Academy Award-nominated actor and the indie rock veteran will be performing the album in full along with a medley of other R.E.M. classics, joined by a backing band including drummer Jon Wurster and bassist John Stirratt. The tour kicks off on February 11 in Denver and concludes on March 16 in Bloomington, Indiana, with stops in Los Angeles, New Orleans, Brooklyn, and Chicago, along with a special two-night stand at the 40 Watt in R.E.M.’s hometown of Athens, Georgia. Having already covered other R.E.M. albums like Murmur and Fables of the Reconstruction on previous tours, Shannon and Narducy expressed excitement over continuing their tribute to the band, highlighted by a memorable performance in Athens in February 2024 that featured the on-stage reunion of all four original R.E.M. members.
